Day 1 | Arrive in Brisbane and check in for a three-night stay at Spicers Balfour Hotel, an award-winning boutique property. Spicers is located in the fashionable neighborhood of New Farm. You can take a quick stroll into the city center or gather the view from the rooftop bar.
Day 2 | Take a full day private tour of vibrant Brisbane. Brisbane has been dubbed Australia’s hippest city. And it lives up to its reputation without any pretense. You’ll stop by art galleries, design houses, coffee shops (Australia has perfected the flat white), and trending restaurants to discover what this buzzy city is all about.
Day 3 | Spend the day exploring the Sunshine Coast on a full day private tour. The Sunshine Coast is known for generous white sand beaches and aqua marine waters. With so much beautiful territory on hand, it’s easy to find secluded beaches every few miles. When you need a break from running head-on into the empty waters, stop into Noosa. You can watch surfers come in from the breaks, snorkel, or just marvel at the scenery.
Day 4-6| Once you’ve had your fill of the coast, it’s time to explore the other side of Queensland: the high country mountains. Four days of hiking the Scenic Rim Trail will introduce you to ridges, escarpments, rainforests and ancient volcanic plateaus. The trail is set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and is surrounded by World Heritage-listed National Parks. You’ll end your days with pampering with two nights at Canopy Eco Lodge. To maintain the sense of getting-away-from-it-all, Canopy Eco Lodge only hosts one group at a time. You’ll have exclusive use of the property so you can totally unwind in your under canvas tent with hardwood floors, fine linens, and private deck for contemplation.
Day 7-8 | Your final two nights on the Scenic Rim Trail will be at Spicers Peak Lodge. Spicers Peak Lodge is Australia’s highest non-alpine lodge. After so much hiking, you’ll savor degustation menus and regional wines. There are endless ways to take advantage of the gorgeous surroundings, from mountain biking adventures to nocturnal walks—the forest has a whole new host of creatures that come out after dark.
Day 9 | Return to Brisbane for your international flight home.
