Israel Travel Tour Highlights
This nine-day introductory tour features Israel’s main attractions and provides a good starting point for those making their first trip to the country. Begin in the modern metropolis of Tel Aviv, where you will visit a few of its ethnic neighborhoods and stroll through Carmel Market, a tempting feast for the senses. Drive to Tiberias, with stops along the way at Caesarea to see the important Crusader ruins, the modern port city of Haifa, and a visit to the mosques and old city of Akko along the way. From your base in Tiberias, explore the ancient town of Safed, in the mountains of North Israel and witness the dramatic landscape unfold from atop Mt. Bental. The following day visit the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth en route to the Dead Sea and the ruins of Masada. Continue by road to Jerusalem, the cultural and spiritual heart of Israel. Two full days allow ample time to explore the Old City and the New Jerusalem, as well as important highlights like the Mount of Olives and Bethlehem.
