Peru Travel Tour Highlights
Snuggle in front of a fire in your own luxury casita in Colca Canyon, stroll the cobblestone streets of Cusco and explore the ruins of Machu Picchu, all on this deluxe honeymoon in Peru. Start with two nights at Miraflores Park in Lima, where you will enjoy a half-day city tour of the city including exploring the bohemian district of Barranco. Barranco’s lively, tree-lined streets are brimming with historic mansions, plazas, museums (including the only museum dedicated to displaying permanent works by renowned photographer, Mario Testino), designer boutiques, live music, and plenty of artful flair. Complete your day with a two-hour massage at the hotel spa to get you in vacation mode. From there, fly to Cusco and transfer to Sacred Valley for two nights. Visit Ollantaytambo and some of the small towns in the Sacred Valley, before taking the elegant Hiram Bingham train to Aguas Calientes. Visit the Lost City of Machu Picchu and enjoy an English-style tea and dinner at Sanctuary Lodge. The next day, return by train to Cusco, the charming city that is many visitors’ favorite in Peru. Spend two nights at the ultra-exclusive Inkaterra La Casona, touring the city and enjoying some leisure time to soak up the relaxed atmosphere. From Cusco, fly to Arequipa and then transfer by road to Las Casitas del Colca, a new destination lodge in Colca Canyon. Though it is not very well known even to Peruvians, Colca Canyon is a breathtakingly beautiful region of rugged canyons and arid landscapes. From Colca Canyon, return to Arequipa for a single night and then return to Lima to connect with your international departure flight.
