Beginning and ending in Buenos Aires, this 10-day journey will lead you to some of Patagonia’s greatest natural highlights via some of the least trafficked routes. After acclimating for a night in Buenos Aires, journey to El Chalten—your gateway to wild Patagonia—where you will stay two nights at Aqaus Arriba Lodge. Reachable only by boat, Aquas Arriba is a paradise for hiking, fishing, photography, and meditation. On your fourth day, depart by foot for a three-day trek that will take you alongside Cerro Fitz Roy, Glacier Torre and Cerro Torre through a portion of the national park most people will never see. On your sixth day, hike back to El Chalten for an evening of rest before departing for Buenos Aires for your flight home. This journey can be extended to include the iconic Torres del Pine or a stay at Estancia Cristina, a former sheep shearing estancia nestled in the Upsala Glacier which has been renovated into a smart, intimate hotel reachable only by boat.
