What To Expect:
Iceland Travel Tour Highlights
This private Switzerland tour will take you to some of Switzerland’s most iconic (and most charming) spots including St. Moritz, Zermatt, Lake Thun and Bern. In St. Moritz be swept up with skiing Olympic runs, exploring the quiet mountain-rimmed high pastures of Val Fex, and unwinding with some of those spa treatments the Swiss are famous for. Then, step into the pages of a storybook when you ride through the Alps on the Glacier Express to Zermatt. You’ll tunnel through the core of mountains, cross ravines and trickling glacial streams, and wind through chalet towns until you pull into Zermatt. At 10,000 feet above sea level with the Matterhorn as its welcome flag, Zermatt is surrounded by twenty-nine peaks over 13,000 feet high. Depending on the time of year you visit, you’ll have lots of time to yourself to ski, hike and indulge. If you’re visiting in the winter you can ski the 16km run that crosses the Swiss-Italian border and takes you all the way to Cervinia, Italy. All year round you can get close to the Matterhorn peak, the dining and shopping is top notch, and there is always a reason to go outside. You decide how glitzy or Swiss-traditional you want your Zermatt experience to be. Your final stops are Lake Thun and Bern. You’ll cruise along alpine Lake Thun to Bern where you’ll sip champagne and take a private tour through the medieval Old Town before ending your day with a Swiss massage.
