Uzbekistan Travel Tour Highlights
This program is a perfect introduction to Uzbekistan. Arrive in the capital city of Tashkent where you can relax from your long flight or take part in some independent exploration. From here, make your way to to Samarkand, known as the “Rome of the East”, where you will visit the world-famous Registan Square and many other architectural marvels and sites. From Samarkand, travel to Bukhara, one of the best places in Central Asia to learn about pre-Russian Turkestan. Drive through the Kyzylkum Desert to the majestic town of Khiva, an old silk route oasis city of mud streets looking straight out of a movie set. From here, fly back to Tashkent and enjoy a full day city tour. Next, drive to Ferghana where you will visit the ancient city of Kokand en route. In Ferghana, take an excursion to Margilan and Andijan, where you will see beautiful handmade ornaments and embroideries. Make your way back to Tashkent by air or you may take a scenic five hour drive through Kamchik Pass. Spend your final night in Tashkent before connecting with your international departure flight.
