What To Expect:
Singapore Travel Tour Highlights
This is a journey designed to offer travelers a taste of the fusion cuisines of Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore maintains a unique blend of Malay, Indian, Chinese and colonial British culture, leading to a well-seasoned, mouthwatering local cuisine unlike any other. You will learn the history of the area, Singapore’s important role in the Spice trade, and you will visit Chinatown, Little India, and Arab Street. You will also take a cooking class with local celebrity chef, Sam Leong. The last day of your trip you will spend in Malacca, Malaysia, just over the border. Here, too, there is an interesting fusion of cultures; the former fishing village was conquered, in turn, by the Javanese, Portuguese, Dutch, and British. There is still evidence today of these historical and cultural influences, and the Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities who live there today continue to richly flavor the region. You will surely be departing Malaysia with a full stomach and a tickled taste palette.
