What To Expect:
Southern Africa Travel Tour Highlights
This tour provides guests with the opportunity to see some of the best sites in Southern Africa, from the watery wonder of Victoria Falls to the urban oasis of Cape Town. After a night in Johannesburg you will be transferred to Jao Camp in Botswana, located in the heart of the Okavango Delta, a superb place to view game. Continue to Mombo Camp in the Moremi Game reserve to further explore these wetlands. The delta is one of the most amazing places to view wildlife such as elephant, lion, leopard, and hippo. From Botswana, fly to Zambia where one of the most incredible sights in the world awaits. Here, you will visit Victoria Falls, the largest in the world, whose native name, Mosi-Oa-Tunya, literally means “smoke that thunders”. Enjoy a full day of touring at the falls and lodging at the stately Royal Livingstone. From Zambia, return to South Africa for three nights at the Singita Boulders Lodge, tucked away in the Sabi Sand reserve. The reserve is part of the larger Kruger National Park, famous for its voracious predators. Enjoy twice-daily game drives into the bush as well as “sundowner” cocktails where guests can sip on their favorite drink while watching the day fade away on the grasslands. Complete your wilderness sojourn and head to Cape Town for a four-night stay at the posh Cape Grace. The city is home to a growing gastronomic scene and gorgeous colonial architecture along with natural wonders such as Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula. Three full days of touring this magnificent city, from wine-tasting to the Malay quarter, round out this Southern African journey wonderfully. And remember: although most visitors to Southern Africa flock to see the Big 5, don’t overlook the other Big Five; Cape Fur Seals, African Penguins, Great White Sharks, Southern Right Whales, and dolphins also call this region home.
