Auberge du Soleil
Auberge du Soleil is the name of both the hotel and the restaurant at this boutique Relais & Châteaux collection resort in the Napa valley. The restaurant is famed in the region and is a culinary destination in itself; here the masterful regionally-sourced creations of Chef Robert Curry are beautifully accented by selections from the extensive wine collection and views of the olive groves from one of the coveted terrace tables.
Amidst the 33 acres of groves, 52 rooms and suites are scattered in sand-colored villas for a terraced Mediterranean feel. All the rooms feature Italian linens, down bedding, custom-made bath amenities, and private outdoor terraces. Guests can explore the wine country and enjoy biking, hiking, and ballooning among other activities nearby, but there is much to enjoy right on the resort. Keeping with the Balinese woods and accents of many of the rooms, La Pagode is an Asian-inspired pavilion and a serene location for private treatments, meditation, and dining. Auberge Spa is 7,000 square feet of indulgence and features preparations that use herbs and other ingredients grown right in the garden. For additional relaxation, the pool and cabana is the perfect spot for lounging and sipping on cool cocktails in the California sun.
