Raffles is more than a hotel: it’s truly a Singapore destination. After celebrating its centenary in 1987, the government of Singapore declared the property a National Monument. Raffles was recently renovated and is now Singapore’s most elegant and luxurious hotel.
Rooms are large with hardwood floors, a separate sitting area, and tasteful furnishings; there’s also a state of the art spa and fitness center, upscale shops, a cooking school, and an impressive variety of restaurants. Even if you decide not to stay here, be sure to visit the famous Long Bar, where the Singapore Sling originated.
