The Palace Hotel Tokyo
Completely rebuilt from the ground up and reopened in May 2012, the Palace Hotel Tokyo once again is one of the premier accommodations in Japan’s capital. It arguably has the best location of any of Tokyo’s five-star hotels, situated adjacent to the outer moat of the Imperial Palace East Gardens.
Many of the deluxe rooms have balconies with views over the Imperial gardens and south towards Ginza. The hotel’s 10 dining and bar / lounge options include Wakadura, which has separate dining areas for tempura, teppanyaki and the second Tokyo sushi restaurant by chef Shinji Kanesaka, who earned a Michelin star at his original Ginza eatery; as well as the Michelin-starred Crown for French cuisine. The Evian Spa on the 5th floor has panoramic views of the Imperial Palace Gardens. All rooms and suites feature complimentary high-speed wireless Internet. The Palace is less than a five-minute drive from Tokyo Station.
