Proclaimed by Winston Churchill to be “the loveliest spot in the whole world,” La Mamounia has had a reputation for elegance and excellence since 1922. The hotel maintains much of its original Art Deco design but a recent three-year renovation has freshened the property considerably and added new private villas.
Hallways are decorated with intriguing original drawings and fascinating photographs of Morocco over the past century. The hotel has been a popular film set and resting place for film stars, designers, politicians and royalty. La Mamounia offers a superb array of facilities for guests: three featured restaurants (Italian, Moroccan, and French), five bars, extensive spa facilities, a business center, and swimming pool. The hotel’s 20 acres of gardens are world famous: 34 full time gardeners maintain the grounds, which are a haven for the senses.
