Jambo! Last month, I visited Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique with my co-worker and childhood friend, Brooke Garnett, and two of our closest New York City buddies, JD and Alexis. What unfolded during our three-week adventure was beyond our wildest expectations: unexpected friendships with Maasai guides, the best “reality show” on earth at the Ngorongoro Crater, up-close encounters with nearly 2 million wildebeest during the Great Migration, priceless moments as we carved our way through the Serengeti and Grumeti Reserves, and five days soaking up Vamizi Island off the coast of northern Mozambique.

There is just something about Africa that seems to leave virtually every visitor in awe – it certainly had that effect on us, and I hope our slideshow captures some of that for you! – Katie Losey
