Absolute Travel is proud to partner with Wildlife Alliance, facilitating their immersive conservation-focused journeys. Our conservation trips include working with forests, wildlife, and communities in the Southern Cardamom Rainforest in Southwestern Cambodia. Wildlife Alliance protects nearly 2 million acres of forestland, provides significant management to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center, one of Southeast Asia’s premier rescue centers, as well as providing alternative livelihoods in reforestation, agriculture, and ecotourism to thousands of rural community members. Our ecotourism site in Chi Phat has been heralded by Lonely Planet as one of the best ecotourism sites in country, amongst other accolades and recommendations.
About Wildlife Alliance
Wildlife Alliance is the leader in providing direct protection to forests and wildlife in the Southeast Asian tropical belt. Our mission is to combat deforestation, extinction, climate change and poverty by partnering with local communities and governments.
Since its inception in 1994 as the Global Survival Network, the organization now known as Wildlife Alliance has worked with local governments, communities and other like-minded non-governmental organizations to implement cutting edge programs in Southeast Asia, Russia, South America, and the Western Pacific. Currently we focus on a suite of programs in Cambodia’s Southern Cardamom Mountain Range to protect forests and wildlife, stop illegal trade in threatened species, help people find income-generating alternatives to poaching and illegal logging, and teach future generations to treasure their natural resources.
