| This program combines the touring highlights of Vietnam and Cambodia with a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and traditional lifestyle that still thrives in the Mekong Delta. Begin with four nights in Hanoi, where you will tour the city’s historical sights and see the markets, charming neighborhoods, and magnificent architecture that are hallmarks of the city. Spend a day at Halong Bay, where dramatic karst formations soar above the clear blue waters of the South China Sea in ghostly formations. From Hanoi, fly to Hue, where Vietnam’s imperial past is still visible in the opulent royal tombs that line the Perfume River. From Hue, drive along the beautiful coast to Danang for touring of the Cham Museum and Marble Mountains and then continue to Hoi An. Spend a day exploring this charming port town with special attention to its lovely architecture. Fly next to Saigon; in Vietnam’s bustling commercial hub, visit the Tay Ninh temple and the labyrinthine tunnels of Cu Chi. After Saigon, set out for the lush heartland of the Mekong Delta, starting with a drive to Can Tho. Travel by boat to Chau Doc and then to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where touring includes visits to the Royal Palace and other attractions of this blossoming city. Fly to Siem Reap for extensive touring of Angkor and the many temples in the region before concluding the tour with a flight back to Bangkok. | |||
