In Lima, walk through the beautiful colonial district, check out the private collection of Pre-Columbian artifacts at the Gold Museum, and have lunch at one of the delicious seafood restaurants in the upscale Miraflores district…walk the ancient streets of Cusco, the capital of the once powerful Incan Empire...visit the stepped agricultural terraces of Ollantaytambo...ride horses in the Sacred Valley and buy fresh corn, or choclo, at the renowned Pisac Market...ride the train to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu and climb the photogenic Huayna Picchu and gaze down to the ancient citadel below…in Colca Canyon, watch the flight of the condor...take a boat ride along the famous Lake Titicaca and see the Floating Islands of the Uros...fly over the Nazca lines and see the giant, mysterious markings from high above...float by river boat deep into the Amazon jungle and meet local indigenous people who have lived the same way for centuries as multi-colored tropical birds chatter in the treetops.
