| Tel Aviv, Tiberias, Jerusalem, Dead Sea, Eilat | |||
| This comprehensive program is designed for those seeking an in-depth look at Israeli culture. An orientation tour in Tel Aviv, including a visit to the Diaspora Museum, will familiarize you with this thriving city. Depart for Tiberias, stopping en route at one of Israel’s premier archaeological sites in Caesarea and the timeless city of Akko and the port city of Haifa. From your base on the banks of the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias, visit important sites like Upper Galilee, Golan, Nazareth, and Capernaum. From Tiberias, head to Jerusalem to tour the Old City, the Holocaust Museum, and the Mount of Olives. The next stop is the famous Dead Sea, so full of salt that swimmers will be held aloft on it. Poke around the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and then take a hike to the peak of Massada on the way to Eilat. Spend three nights in Eilat, where you can spend several days relaxing and, if you wish, take an optional day trip into Jordan to visit the famous ruins at Petra. | |||
