| Cairo, Alexandria, Sharm El Sheikh | |||
| This program takes you to the three most cosmopolitan cities of Egypt. The cities all boast radically different characters and histories, but are linked by their consistent Egyptian charm. Begin with four nights in Cairo, the throbbing capital that has flourished on the banks of the Nile. Visit all the classic ancient monuments including the Great Pyramids, the Saqqara pyramids and the National Egyptian Museum. Experience the serenity of Coptic Cairo, home to some of the oldest Christian churches in the country. Uncover the splendor of Islamic Cairo with its breathtaking mosques and madrasas. After Cairo, drive by car to the ancient capital of the Hellenistic world, Alexandria. Named after the great explorer, Alexander, this city is a thriving port city that is once again becoming an attraction for native Egyptians and foreigners, alike. Visit the Roman Museum, Pompey's Pillar and many other sites of ancient Alexandria. After two nights here fly to Sharm-el-Sheikh, the resort city of the Sinai. You will spend four nights in the resort of your choice with endless activities to choose from. Among them are scuba diving, climbing Mount Sinai, snorkeling in the nature reserve of Ras Mohammed or simply lying on the sandy beach. At the end of your stay in Sharm, return to Cairo for a final night before your international flight. | |||
